R.I.P Larry Hagman aka JR Ewing

We all knew him in our living rooms and we all loved to hate him. He brought the new low to the soaps in TV and I remember sitting weekly in front of the tele watching his conman mentality. He was not just bad, he was very very bad..... that of coarse was only his TV personality JR Ewing, nothing to do with the real Larry Hagman, who was a really nice guy! 

Larry Hagman first became famous in the widely watched TV sitcom I love Jeannie back in 1965. His role as Major Anthony Nelson, an astronaut, who discovered a beautiful genie in the bottle.

His real international success started in Dallas, as JR Ewing he was the master villain of the world and without a doubt made TV history in the episode where the whole world was glued on the screens to find out who shot JR. 

Larry Hagman suffered of health problems, but that did not take away his spirit and smile. Even at his later years Larry wanted to bring JR back alive for our amusement and Dallas came back to our TV screens at 2012. Co actors remember his smile, his generosity towards numbers of charities and his willingness to help those who needed him. In real life Larry Hagman was an total opposite from JR Ewing. 

I am paying my respects to the godfather of TV villains, because let's face it.... if there would not have been JR Ewing, we would have never had Dirty Den or any other soap villains. RIP Larry, we pray for your soul and thank you for the moments you have given us in front of TV on Friday nights.
